Grimsby Town Hall

Grimsby Town Hall is a Grade II listed municipal building located in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. The aim of this project was to preserve the historical significance of the building.

Works Carried Out

· Full masonry façade restoration, consisting of DOFF cleaning, brick replacement, stone replacement, stone and masonry repairs, lime mortar repointing
· Complete refurbishment of existing timber casement windows and associated stained glass works consisting of timber repairs and splicing, reinstatement of opening casements and full removal and workshop refurbishment of stained glass.
· Replacement like for like casement windows where not salvageable. Upgrade of single glazed windows to slimline double glazed units where stained glass isn’t present.
· Full refurbishment of cast iron rainwater goods including replacement and repair where required including full redecoration.
· Roof structure repairs including rafter end replacement and sectional splice and scarf repairs. Roof slate repairs including partial removal and reinstatement.
· Leadwork implementation for preserving existing cornice stonework.
· Full building perimeter drainage CCTV carried out including remedial works and mapping.
