Works Carried Out
- Removal of failed render following an in-house tap test with the consultancy team and reinstate where applicable
- Paint removal using a DOFF clean method with an appropriate softener
- Remake and install the ornate detailing taking moulds as part of our preparation works
- Reinstate the imitation ashlar effect where previously lost including setting out to be in-keeping with the surrounding render
- Forming of structural openings including pinning
- Replacement lintels to structurally compromised openings Helibar and structural stitching works
- Leadwork renewal to new details for improved weather protection to the cornices
- Replace existing timber windows to match including beading and English Muffle glazing
- Repair existing timbers windows including reinstatement of detailing previously lost and replacement glazing where not in keeping
- Full façade decoration
Project Considerations:
On this project our main health and safety concern was that the building was on busy road in Manchester City Centre with lots of footfall, to manage this we had daily meetings with the project team to discuss the work items on a going concern so we could plan the correct measures to ensure all safety for the operatives and tenants.
